  3. By the way,
    'By the rivers of babylon,
    there we sat down.
    Ye-eah we wept,
    when we remembered Zion'

is actually Psalm 137, written when Jews were taken captive as slaves to Babylon.

    Psalms 137:1-4
'By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion. We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof. For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion. How shall we sing the LORD’S song in a strange land?

How many of us tonight are seated by the river of Babylon? Not because we have been taken captive, but because we let ourselves wander into captivity? How many of us friends, would weep tonight if we would remember the days of Zion; would we weep if we compared the days when we rejoiced in the light and glory of God’s presence with where we are today?

Why is it that the Children of God are so prone to wander? It is a fact that I hate, yet it is still the truth. Just like lambs in the wilderness we think we are just taking a few little steps away from the fold, we are just going to walk at a little bit of a distance for a short time, from the Shepherd. But soon we have our eyes off of him and we end up miles from home, miles from the one we love. Lost and hungry in the old sinful world.

And oh how cold and how dark it is out there on the banks of the river of Babylon; in the wilderness of this world. And how cruel are the princes of that place. They tempt you to wander, they entice you to stray; and when they have you out of the fold they begin to mock you. "Sing to us a song of Zion! Preach to us the word of Zion! Speak the testimony of Zion". But how shall we sing in that foreign land? How can we do anything but despair.

In the Babylon of sin our harps are hung upon the willow tree. Our shouts have long become whispers. Our feasts have become famine. The fellowship is deserted, our bible neglected, our prayers silenced and the work halted. Oh the dust that soon falls upon the altar.

How sad it is to be on the banks of that river, when home seems like a million miles away. What drives men to forsake the gladness of Zion?

In Christian faith, this Psalm means a lot for us.

'God’s children are so often forgetful children. The ox and the donkey remember their master, but we so often forget ours. You can raise an animal and feed it a little, and show it a little affection and it will love you and obey you and remain faithful to you until death. Some will give their life to serve and protect you'

Most humans are off to their ways. They forget God in their leisure and comfort. We all live in a Babylon as we remain captive to sins, pleasures and anarchism of the world.

  5. brigadier Simon is a very dangerous infantryman with an eye for the ground and all who come to this sinners site must commend Brigadier Simon for his eagle eye , " Uqabi Nigaaah" as they in urdu.....Mohtaram Simon Sahab Qiyamat kee nazar rakhtay hain...anyhow my ideal is no place of worship in 10 km radius.....God is in your heart...you dont need to find him through the corrupted mind of a priest or mullah......interestingly many religious schools in muslim world are bastions of sodomy as many churches must be also....i mean the priests and mullahs buggering young boys and girls......thats the basic definition of man ....course.....barbaric.....pervert......alas .....why man is so irrational

  6. what i meant was Brigadier Simons spotting the church spire and seriously questioning my thesis as far as the picture was concerned....i will find a new picture Inshallah or " WITHOUT INSHALLAH " as my friend Malook said

  7. The good news is that now that I am quite sober I noted that the installation referred to by Brigadier Simon is a high transmission line power pylon ....so the picture is in consonance with my stated ideal of no religious installation near

my dear Zeemax.....its possible to believe in god without religion....my question is why no monotheistic religion originated from australia......why all religions from one 500 km radius area ? it is not necessary that belief in God should include belief in after life....the discussion on first cause is a never ending discussion...i would prefer a leftist ideal state in this world rather than a utopian idea of after life though...its all debatable though

  8. suicide bombings is not an islamic concept...the muslim militants borrowed it from japanese.....the concept was institutionally picked up initially by the shia sect....iranian suicide attacks in iran iraq war and later adopted by the shiite hezbollah....having borrowed this concept it was internalised as an islamic concept...picked up by the sunni militants in the 1990s....used in chechnya....in middle east and finally brought to afghanistan and pakistan by the arabs....in mid 90s.....this is a tactic.......a system......with conditioning and training anyone can be transformed into a suicide bomber * as they say in ads conditions apply:--

1-mostly orphans raised in madrassas are used
2-there is a class system....hardly any son of an ayatollah did it..if there are cases please enlighten my pagan knowledge
3-the conditioning starts from early age
4-drug addicts bought from punjab and sindh have been used in afghanistan
5-this is not a winning tactic ..but a tactic...alone it cannot win a war...but then the al qaeda has a broader strategy
6-now man can fight for anything ...not necessarily islam...and he man can sacrifice his life for anything...its a tactic of those with weaker forces....so in case of muslims it is situational rather than a true manifestation of islam...thus there can be christian or jewish or any other suicide bombers also like there were the japanese suicide pilots

  9. questioning is not a polite form of conversation my elder brother .however my idea is :--

1-Suicide bombing is a tactic , which has historically been employed by state, non state actors etc.

2-It is the tactic of the weaker forces who dont have resources lik USA.

3-It is achieved by dramatically changing te chemical composition of its tagets...the cannon fodder ...by conditioning them to adopt it ....stating that this is for the greater good ...so you sacrifice your interest for the cause....it can be achieved by verbal and spiritual conditioning or by drugs as done by hashishin

4-the perpetrator is internally convinced that he is right......now whether u call him mad or motivated or misguided or a sinner...thats your political conviction or which side you belong to....i called him mad dog because i had too much of absolute vodka yesterday...

    regards

  10. my position is that i have distrusted states and leaders....i see no difference in the personalities of bush, osama bin laden etc...all are power hungry individuals.....but why should an arab from saudi arabia or yemen or any damn place come and tell us what is right....here th USA is the culprit...the father of the Islamist test tube monster baby created with dirty saudi money , dirty US dollars and motivational pamphlets printed at the university of nebraska
